Instead Of

What are we going to do?
As the world falls apart
The time is now to stop
While there is still a chance
Create instead of destroy

What are we going to do?
With such hate here
Always burning the other
Just to get ahead of them
Love instead of hurt

What are we going to do?
Everybody fighting
In the world and in the streets
Peace is the we must find to win
Together instead of apart

What are we going to do?
The industries are polluting
Slowly killing us all
How can we continue to be
Live instead of die

What are we going to do?
As our world is fading
Is there a hope for our children
With each crises shadowed by the next
Future instead of history

What are we going to do?
The Earth might be dying
Shall we be it’s destroyers
Will a cosmic being show pity
Exist instead of extinct

What are we going to do?
We can see what was
Imagine what will be
Is there any time left
Now instead of then

A Love Story

Filed at 3:46 pm under Memories Of A Present Life... 1978 to 1985 by m3studio

It was just a simple Saturday night
Two friends out for some coffee
Sharing their time together
Both seem scared and alone
Appearing to be lost within the world
Searching to find themselves
Trying to see who they really are

Seeing them over there
I have another clue to love
For their love is felt in the air
And in both of their eyes
One can see that their time
Means everything to them
For they have that special warmth

Yet for now the clock reads the end
And they must part once again
With this thought they are sad
So before leaving they plan
And now wait their next meeting
Looking on the two of them
I now the true love of friends

Face To Face View

Now that I know you
I recall the secret lust
That I once had for you
And am glad for the present
That has brought us together
I must say my dear
You are far warmer and sweeter
That my dreams had pictured
For you are my brass ring
I’m reaching and longing for
To hold close and dearly

The Victim

I have been
Through it before
But it’s happening
Once again
I’m the fool
Of love
My heart
Is in her hands
For her to
Twist and bend
Till it hurts
Deeply in my soul
Her nails plunge
To trickle my blood
I’m now crushed
By her gentle touch
And kindness
As she leaves
It was nice
Echoes in my ear

Mental Block

Here I sit
Pen in hand
Wanting to write
Yet I can’t
My mind is a blank
Thoughts don’t form
Lit a cigarette
Down some coffee
Look to the clock
But there isn’t an aid

Second watching

A minute

The same report

A Lust To Reality

You really got my eye girl
With your looks and moves
In your slightly tight jeans
And that long blond hair
Adds to the sparkle in your eyes

You have me thinking girl
Dreamin’ of the day or night
We could have together
When you rest your head beside mine
And let me enter your life

Hey you, girl
You have shook me
Your smile teases
You are beautiful
Sadly you know

I see you truly girl
High above many of us
Upon your mental throne
So far up on your imaginary pillar
Bringing everybody down

I wish you much luck girl
As you sit there legs crossed
Sipping your gin and tonic
I’ll just take a pass this time
Wishing you a happy landing

Sharing A Night

A big chill filled the air
The hour was late
Actually it was early
Yet the time and weather
Are simple small talk items
Now

Then
Warmth was found
In each other’s arms
And we never even
Looked towards the clock
As we shared

A Thought

Filed at 1:24 pm under Memories Of A Present Life... 1978 to 1985 by m3studio

When I’m down
I’m able to put it down
Simply and clearly
The puzzle pieces
Fall into place
As the keys
Fit to open
Their mating locks
And I’m up

Before The Dawn

A sunny warm day in July
We were hand and hand
Hoping never to say good-bye
Laying on a carpet of sand
Our bodies hit by a misty spray
Together loving this time
Uncaring of our homeward way
Praying for you to be mine
Your beauty is far more than fair
From the tenderness of your skin
To the shine in your long brown hair
Nothing you do could be called a sin
We must leave as in any case
This place we shall miss
I turn to your lovely face
And we slowly kiss my ears are filled with a ringing sound
And once again reality has come around

Wake Up

Filed at 3:49 am under Ghost Ship by m3studio

Buzzed into the starting glow
Droplets spray
Java downing
Slumber clinging
Sluggish is movement
Desire but a dream
In this out of step pace

Memories take hope by the hand
Guided by timeless thoughts
They dance to the rhythm of illusion
While reality stands off to the distance
Brief sneakers can be heard
